JH-GEAR's history:

We are a small company started in 2004. We are helping both professionals and private people to be protected against the weather elements such as rain, wind and low temperatures.

We have obtained a good expertise in knowing what makes the optimal protection against the weather no matter if you take a walk with your dog or if you are doing a very dirty job e.g. in mud or sewers etc. 

There are many new materials used for clothes which have their individual advantages. But there are still tasks where the old PVC rainwear (better known as rubber rainwear) is the best thing to wear.

We have over the time made agreements with a long range of suppliers of clothes within rainwear, waders. boots, protective suits, diving suits, life jackets, gloves etc.

If you do not fit a standard size rainwear then we can also help you. Several models of the rainwear is coming in sizes up to 8XL and that is not big enough then some of our suppliers of rainwear can make custom designed rainwear.

So no task is to big for JH-GEAR.

New things:

The new thing within the category of rainwear for commercial use is that we have made an agreement with Stormline, witch comes from New Zealand. The rainwear from Stormline has been shown in the famous series on Discovery channel called "Deadliest Catch" about the crab fishermen from the Bearing Sea in Alaska.

We have now become an official supplier for Europe.

We have likewise made an agreement on another products coming from New Zealand called ProLan. It is a very effective product for preventing / minimising corrosion of metals. We have tried it ourselves with great success.

Just recently we have made an agreement with Viking Trelleborg from Sweden. They are making certified protection suits (Trellchem) and also the  well known Viking diving suits for commercial use).

Mission:

• To be the preferred supplier of rainwear for any purpose both to companies and for private people.
• To be the place to look for when you need protection against the weather elements.
• To have only satisfied customers - that means that we are dealing according to the law of Internet trading.
• To be able to provide clothes which fits you perfect. Including customised rainwear.
• To be able to keep the prices down on a fair level by not having a large stock.
• To be able to deliver our products within 1-2 weeks (standard products) and 3-6 weeks for special products (not on stock at supplier) under normal circumstances.
• All customers requests must be answered within 24 hours under normal circumstances - normally we have responded within 6 hours.

Facts:

• We are specialists in custom designed rainwear
• We have often offers on selected products.
• We have sometimes a sale - we call it "stock sale". That is products which only have been used for showing or returned from customers - tried out by customer.

• We can deliver both large amounts and amounts down to 1 pcs.
• We are selling to both companies and private people.
• For companies we can provide a total solution where we are taking care of everything from quotation to the delivery in the right sizes. It could also include print or logo on the clothes.
• We can provide the clothes with print either brodery or graphic's in one or more colours. We can help you with the design of the print.

We only wants to have satisfied customers:

• If you regret a purchase within the first 14 days then you can return the product according to the law of Internet trading and the money will be returned to you under the following conditions: - the products is returned in the original packaging and in the same (unused) condition as it was received. If it is not returned in the original packaging then the returned amount will be reduced by 20% to replace the packaging.
• If a product has passed our quality inspection and it turns out that it is defect then it will be replaced with a new product.
• Custom products can't be returned unless it is defect.
• All clothes bought at JH-GEAR have according to the law of Internet trading 2 years warranty.

In all cases of returning products JH-GEAR most approve the return - you will then receive a RMA number which has to accompany the product when returned. If the RMA number is missing then the return is not accepted.

Unless it is agreed JH-GEAR will not pay for the return (shipping).

Modified rainwear:

As one of the few places it is possible to by customised rainwear in special sizes or modified according to specification:

The most common modifications are:

• Mounting of gloves or cuffs on jackets or smock
• Mounting of elastics at the wrists or ankles
• Bib's made longer than standard (length after specification)

ProLan:

As a new product we can offer you the best protection against corrosion of metals. The product is called ProLan.

The weather:

Most of our customers are very dependant of the weather. It has a tendency to change and to be unreliable. One of the best places to get an overview and a idea of how the weather is going to be is at the weather services - in Denmark DMI, and Tv2 weather. Questions and answers:

Q: How do I find the best rainwear for me?

A:  We suggest that you try out our guide. It is made so you can see which rainwear fits best for a curtain task - the same goes for waders..

Q: Can I get my money back if I regret my purchase?

A: Yes as long as it is a standard product you can get your money back but in case it is a special products made specially for you is it only possible to get money back if it is defective or if the supplier accepts to replace/refund the product. Q: Are there no shopping basket at JH-GEAR?

A: No because many of our products are not standard products and the prices are much dependant of the amount. See more at the order page

Q: Do I have to in advance?

A: normally yes because many of our products are made specially for the customer. Also because we do not have a stock of products. When a customer has paid in advance then we know that the customer really wants it. In the past before the customers was paying in advance we have several customers ordering but not paying - that was to expensive and the products were piling up. This way it keeps the prices low.

Q: Can I get rid of the Danish VAT?

A:  As a starting point we have to claim Danish VAT for all customers located in EU. For customers located outside EU e.g. Norway and Switzerland they will not asked to pay the Danish VAT.

Preferred browser: The homepage should be universal, meaning that all common browsers should present the homepage so it looks the same. We are using Firefox ourselves - so we know Firefox is ok.

Resolution: Minimum of 1024*768 is recommended

Links: All links on the homepage is presented as link (light blue colour)

Most of the pages with prices are with both in Danish and English text - it keeps the maintenance down and reduces the possibility for type errors in the prices because we only have to update the prices on one page.
